In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Alpharetta; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Georgia are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 amโ€“9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Alpharetta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Tend to come here for lunch since itโ€™s close .. Love the food, but I am so tired and getting my food and the best part of the meal was all over the bag . You guys have to do better packing your food to pay $20+ for sauce to everywhere but the plate by the time to get home .

The people are very nice, but the food isn't great. The Mongolian beef is ordered was okay, and curry noodles tasted like the curry powder fell on the dish. I then told them the noodles were bad and they made another dish. The guy recommended the spicy noodles with chicken. Unfortunately, the dish was full of chilies and you could barely taste the actual flavor or the dish. It was disappointing.

Ordered the Dan Dan Noodles from Guโ€™s at Halcyon online and it was ready when i walked in. The price and portion size were both solid for a quick meal, but the flavor just wasn't there for me. Itโ€™s labeled as spicy, yet I barely felt any heat at all, and the whole dish felt a bit bland overall. Itโ€™s an okay option if youโ€™re in a rush.

Expensive for what you get. $25 for Mongolian beef that doesn't even come with a side of rice. Never have I ordered from a Chinese restaurant where a main dish doesn't come with at least a side of rice. 98% of Chinese restaurants will include rice and soup or rolls. To my surprise, here EVERYTHING IS SEPARATE even the soy sauce. My Mongolian beef was a bowl of onions swimming in sugar water and a couple of pieces of beef, Nothing else .

I ordered the Chongqing Spicy Chicken Stir Fry and a Sparkling Waterโ€ฆmy meal was a box of chicken and Szechuan Peppers. It was good, but VERY dry. I stole some sauce from my cousins General Tsoโ€™s Chicken, which was also subpar. It was a bowl of chicken swimming in sauce with three florets of broccoli. This was a crazy experience and definitely not worth the almost $60 we paid for both meals. Guโ€™s Dumplings, please change your menu and do better.
